What is a snack? Well, i googled what is a snack and this is what I came up with!
- a small amount of food eaten between meals
- A snack is a portion of food, often smaller than a regular meal, generally eaten between meals. Snacks come in a variety of forms including packaged snack foods and other processed foods, as well as items made from fresh ingredients at home
- A light meal : food eaten between regular meals
- Snack. that which is less than a full meal
If you’re trying shed a little bit of weight, then follow the above guidelines, I usually advise my clients to keep snacks to approximately 100-150 calories, between meals.
Below are a list of snacks which have approximately 100-150 calories.
- 1 medium banana
- 1 orange
- 17 grapes
- 1 cup of strawberries
- 2.5 raw carrots
- 11 almonds
- 1.5 cup popcorn
- 1 small boiled egg
- 1 medium apple
