Eastern Suburbs Sydney Nutritionist: Healthy Thai Salad
Eastern Suburbs Sydney Nutritionist: This is one of my favourite Thai dishes that I eat when I go out for dinner with my family. So hey I have tried to make it myself. Following my simple steps you could be enjoying this too! There is a few variations of the meal, I personally love steak with it, as i don’t eat a lot of red meat during the week, however you can use chicken or even fresh Australian prawns.
My Thai Salad tastes so fresh, it’s time to awaken your taste buds as this Thai Salad is full of texture and flavour!
Ingredients For My Healthy Thai Salad
- 1/2 Cucumber
- 8 small cherry tomatoes
- 3 large shallots chopped
- 2 small red chillies ( deseed/chopped)
- 100 Rice Vermicelli noodles
- 2 pinches of brown sugar
- 50 mL of fish sauce
- 1 Large handful of mint (chopped)
- 1 Large handful of coriander (chopped)
- 200g Good quality grass fed steak
The Steps To Make My Healthy Thai Salad
Step 1: Wash your hands.
Step 2: Place all the ingredients you need in front of you.
Step 3: Put the kettle on.
Step 4:Break up the rice noodles and place them in a large bowl.
Step 5:Pour the boiled water into the bowl and leave for 2 minutes.
Step 6: Wash all the salad ingredients.
Step 7: Chop up all the salad ingredients (cucumber, tomatoes, shallots, chillies, mint and coriander),and place in a large bowl.
Step 8: Put the fish sauce and brown sugar in a small bowl and stir until combined.
Step 9: Bbq or lightly fry the steak (I usually have it a little pink in the middle), set aside then slice evenly.
Step 10:Mix the rice noodles, fish sauce,brown sugar steak to the salad bowl.
Step 11; Mix together
Step 12: Serve
