Randwick Nutritionist:Healthy Breakfast Muffins

Randwick Nutritionist- My Healthy Breakfast Muffins can be used as a meal or snack. Homemade snacks provide a great opportunity to improve the quality of your diet.Foods rich in carbohydrates proteins and fats helps your body meet its  recommended intake levels of nutrients and food group servings.

When you eat food your blood sugar levels rise and then decrease. Soon after you  can start to feel tired if your blood sugar levels get too low.

Just a note snacks can prevent your blood sugar levels from dropping too much between meals. While sugary snacks can lead to sugar highs and subsequent energy crashes, healthy snacks promote more sustained blood sugar levels and energy.

High-fiber, high-protein snacks, such as carrots with hummus dip, are slow to digest so your blood sugar levels do not fluctuate much.

Eating your carbohydrates, protein and fats within 45-60 minutes of finishing your exercise session will promote the best results.

Try my Healthy Breakfast Muffin Recipe as a snack, this will help support recovery and provide essential nutrients.
